Noah turns 2 today!!!

My big boy turns 2 today!!! We celebrated with a party yesterday & today we are having family time & McDonalds (his choice). When you have a newborn baby & everyone tells you "time flies", you never fully understand until time literally flies by. I'm so proud of the funny, smart, caring, independent boy he's becoming...

Violence

I know there is violence all over the world every day whether it gets reported on the news or not. And I think the information we're given through the media is molded to what they want us to believe. And I think that our soldiers in the military are not compensated fairly for what they sacrifice. But with the shootings in Ft. Hood yesterday & the shooting that is developing in Orlando right now, it really made me heartbroken for the families that lost loved ones. I think too often we take for granted all that we have.

Halloween Fever!!!

I'm so looking forward to Halloween. I've always loved Halloween but this year Noah understands more & I think he's going to have a blast. Thought I'd share some pictures of our pumpkins we carved. Mine is the scary pumpkin & David's is the mummy pumpkin. Only 4 more days!!! :)

House Hunting

So we've been looking at houses the last 2 weeks. We had to 'break up' with our first realtor. It was not going well at all! (But that's a story in itself! ha ha) Now we're working with a great realtor & found a house we love in Sherman. We put in our first official offer today. The owner lives in the Phillipines now so we're waiting to hear his response. Hopefully it won't take too long. I'm very excited but trying not to get my hopes up too much until it's official. But you know how it is when you see a house you love & before you know it you've decorated it in your head 5 different ways. So for now it's the waiting game... I better go so I can put on my witch costume & play some Bunco!! Until next time... :)

Naptime Withdrawals

Well I think we're beginning the Terrible 2's! Noah's started having more fits and his favorite word is 'No!' which he says repeatedly. We are on Day 4 of no naptime. I can't complain because he still tries to be his sweet self in between fits, ha ha! It just amazes me how every time you start to get comfortable with a routine, everything changes. I'm going to try to push back his naptime a little further & hope that helps. But this kid isn't napping at all! Which means he gets super tired & fussy in the afternoon. Oh naptime! How I miss you already!!!!! ;)

Sick of being sick

It has been such a busy day but I wanted to take a minute and update this blog since I told myself I would. Noah's napping & should be down for another 45 mintues or so... He's had a stomach bug since around Monday. So he's been a little tired but he's still trying to be sweet. My friend Ashley came over last night & he was hugging & kissing on her (I hope she doesn't get sick!). Then he got in trouble for yelling 'No!' & said 'Sorry, Mama!' with a sad face. Last night he was sitting on David's lap & David started singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Noah would finish each line. David was so happy & impressed, it was really cute... It's been a very stressful last 2 weeks. Last week was crazy & this weeks not any better. But I'm trying to not stress out too much. I'm looking forward to having a long weekend at home with David & Noah. And hoping we'll all be feeling better by next week.

Finding motivation

We didn't have much planned this weekend so we made a list of things that needed to be done around the house. We needed to clean out the carport, clean the spare room/office, steam clean the furniture & carpet, buy new bed pillows and so on... Now it's Sunday night much wasn't accomplished except buying new pillows, ha ha. It seems like we're so busy with the everyday things that when we do get a free minute we want to sit down and rest. I haven't had motivation the last week to do much more than what has to get done. I plan to eat better, I plan to exercise, I plan to study more, I plan to go on a budget... I'm still not sure if it's a lack of self discipline or just being exhausted! :)
I'm going to drink some hot white peony herbal tea, watch Big Brother, try to get a good nights rest & hope to wake up tomorrow with some motivation and energy.

So... my first post!

I don't have much time but wanted to post something to get myself started. I've considered starting a blog for awhile but thought "what do I have to say?". So, of course, I never created one. Thought it might be fun to write about how I feel, things I'm doing, things Noah does, my hopes, my worries and just about anything else that comes to mind. Noah walked into his room a minute ago and he's been suspiciously quiet so I'm going for now. But I'm excited to write and share what's going on in my life...
